The launch of the NSSE Power Plant, which combines a 50MW solar farm with a 14.2MWh battery energy storage system, will be Indonesia’s first utility-scale integrated solar and energy storage project and marks Sembcorp’s first venture into large-scale solar development in Indonesia.
The cross-border team was led by Finance & Projects Principals Ang Kim Hock (Singapore) and Andrew Zaw (Singapore), who were supported by HHP Law Firm Partners Mita Guritno, Nadia Soraya (Jakarta) and Local Principal Simonette Santos (Singapore) and Associate Partner Agung Wijaya (Jakarta).

Andrew commented, "This project showcases the strength of our cross-border team and ability to deliver end-to-end solution for the project. We are proud to have supported the sponsors in structuring a transaction that not only advances Indonesia's renewable energy goals but also sets new benchmarks and practices for project financing and a timely financial close."
Nadia added, “We are proud to have played a role in structuring this transformative project that enhances Indonesia’s energy security while advancing its climate goals. By incorporating innovative technology and global best practices, the NSSE Power Plant not only addresses Nusantara's long-term energy needs but also establishes new benchmarks for sustainable infrastructure development across the region.”
