With around 25 years of experience, Nidya is recognized as one of Indonesia’s leading intellectual property practitioners. Nidya has advised clients across a wide range of sectors, and industries, demonstrating deep experience in IP brand protection, litigation, and commercial advisory matters. Her work has been recognized by leading legal directories such as Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific, Legal 500, and Managing IP. She is a member of INTA, APAA, and ASEAN IPA.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advising on IP prosecution, litigation, and dispute‑resolution strategies, including trademark, industrial design, patent, and copyright infringement matters.
- Representing clients in multiple IP litigation matters before the Indonesian Commercial Court and the Supreme Court of Indonesia.
- Representing clients in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including mediation, to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Managing and overseeing IP portfolios for multiple high‑profile clients, ensuring comprehensive protection and compliance.
- Advising on IP portfolios and branding strategies, including licensing, franchising, and regulatory compliance.
- Advising on key submissions and strategic recommendations for new IP laws and regulations, including Draft Copyright Law, Draft Trademark Law as well as Directorate General of Intellectual Property’s Trademark Examination Guidelines.
- Collaborating with internal teams on complex IP matters, providing practical and commercially focused guidance on Indonesian IP laws and regulatory developments.
